Vineyard: This old vine 1.5-acre vineyard of Gewürztraminer was originally planted 40 years ago. Located near the Napa Sonoma border of Carneros, this dry farmed old vine Gewürztraminer vineyard ripens slowly allowing to keep incredible acid as the fruit ripens.
Winemaking: The harvested fruit was cold soaked for a few days. The grapes were then gently pressed into a stainless tank, chilled way down, and then inoculated when the temperature rose to 55 degrees. This temperature was maintained throughout fermentation and was allowed to ferment completely dry.
Tasting notes: Translucent pale straw colored dry wine, packed full of lychee, star fruit and papaya. Lively mouth feel with crisp acid and a lingering mineral finish.
